Matcha Hibiki - Ceremonial Grade from Wazuka, Uji-Kyoto - Spring & Summer Harvest
Hibiki (響) means "echo" or "resonance" in Japanese. This matcha comes from Wazuka, Uji-Kyoto – the birthplace of Japanese tea culture. A Yabukita that demonstrates why this variety has been Japan's standard for decades: powerful, direct, unforgettable.
Uji is unforgettable.
Wazuka is a small village in the hills of Uji-Kyoto – and when you say "matcha" in Japan, people think of Uji. Matcha was perfected here 800 years ago, and this is where the teas with the loudest echo grow.
Hibiki is not a quiet matcha. This is yabukita at its best: powerful, with candied fruit that transitions into vibrant citrus and juniper notes. Punchy, but not shrill. The finish is surprisingly long – an echo that lingers.
We blend Spring and Summer Harvest to guarantee consistent quality year-round. Both harvests bring different strengths: Spring adds sweetness, Summer adds structure. Together they create a matcha with character.
For people who aren't afraid of taste.
Perfect for: Strong usucha, neat or as a statement in lattes
