Matcha Tsuki - Ceremonial Grade from Kagoshima - Spring Harvest
Tsuki (月) means "moon" in Japanese. Like the full moon over Kagoshima's tea gardens, this matcha watches over the spring harvests – a rare first flush made from three exquisite cultivars, produced only under perfect conditions.
From the heights of Kagoshima to your cup.
Tsuki represents what happens when centuries-old craftsmanship meets perfect timing. The spring harvest—traditionally the most coveted—gives us only a narrow window of opportunity. Our farmers in Kagoshima wait for precisely the right moment: when the leaves reach their highest amino acid concentration before the sun hardens them.
Three cultivars create balance here. Okumidori brings sweetness, Samidori creaminess, and Yabukita structural depth. The result: silky like cashmere, sweet like roasted pistachios, with a lingering umami flavor that never overpowers. The finish? Botanically pure, never bitter.
Every gram is ground on traditional granite mills – slowly, at a low temperature to preserve the vibrant green color and volatile aromas. It takes time. But Tsuki is made for moments that shouldn't be rushed.
Perfect for: Ceremonial tea, koicha (thick matcha), mindful moments of enjoyment
